Lau Choo Chin 

Group Managing Director 

He was appointed as our group Managing Director on 30 April 2026. He graduated with a Diploma in Marketing Management from the Institute of Marketing Malaysia in 2001. He has attended high school in New Zealand and completed credits toward Certificate of Applied Technology (Marine) at UNITEC Institute of Technology. He joined Tuong Aik (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. in 1997 as Assistant Manager responsible for the coordination of Shipbuilding activities and was subsequently promoted to Manager in 2004 before joining Tuong Aik Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. in 2005. He has more than 25 years of experience in Shipbuilding and project management related especially to the Oil and Gas Industry. He has been instrumental in developing the Middle-East market and in spearheading the development of engineering design for big vessels. His in-depth knowledge in vessel manufacturing and established business network will continue to benefit us.

Ng Cheng Lee 

Senior Production Manager

He obtained his Diploma of Science Degree from Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Malaysia in 1988. He also obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree conferred by Campbell University, US in 1988. He began his career in 1989 as a Chemist-Branch Executive with Caleb Brett (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, where he was responsible for overseeing daily branch operations. He joined TASSB as a Manager in 1993 and was promoted to the position of Senior Production Manager in 2004. He is responsible for overseeing overall project management. He is also a Director of a subsidiary of our Group.

Hii Chai Hung 

Group Accountant 

An Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (ACMA) and was designated a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) in 2012. She started her career with SBC Corporation Bhd in 1997 as an Accounts Executive and joined TAS Offshore Berhad as Group Accountant in 2007. She has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance and currently responsible for overseeing the overall functions of the Accounts Department. 

Lau Choo Kuang

Procurement and Inventory Manager

He obtained his High School Bursary from Senior College, New Zealand in 2000. In 2002, he began his career with Tuong Aik (Sarawak) Sdn. Bhd. as Project Assistant, where he was responsible for supporting the operational aspects of vessel construction projects. In 2006, he joined Tuong Aik Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. as a Purchasing Officer where he was responsible for purchasing functions. He was promoted to his current position as Procurement and Inventory Manager in 2007, where he was responsible for managing the procurement functions and inventory. 

Lau Siew Ling

Finance Manager

She graduated with a Bachelor in Commerce from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 2000, and subsequently obtained a Graduate Diploma in Commerce from the same institution in 2001. In 2003, she joined Tuong Aik Shipyard Sdn. Bhd as an Accounts Administrator, where she was responsible for ensuring accounting entries were taken up correctly. She was promoted to her current position as Finance Manager in 2006, where she is responsible for overseeing the functions of Finance Department. 

Christina Wong Siew Ping

Human Resources and Administration Manager

She graduated with Bachelor of Property from the University of Auckland, New Zealand in 1998. Christina first joined Tuong Aik in 1999 as the Administration Coordinator, where she was responsible for coordinating office administrative functions. In 2003, she was assigned to hold responsibility for leading the HR function and auditing to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standard. She was promoted to her current position as Human Resources and Administration Manager who is responsible for the human resources management as well as oversee administrative functions. She is a Certified Human Resource Professional (Industrial Relations) by Malaysian Institute of Human Resources Management.
